Cortney Smith

In a results-driven environment, what's the fuss about blocking social media? The long-term benefits of being informed and connected are too great to lose. Relationships are what matter most right? It's about the people, right? Blocking social media only turns us young professionals into clock watchers.

Sheryl Peterson

Social media is here to stay. It is the current huge player for the entire professional services community. I agree that it's about people, people, and relationships, etc. As an owner, however, there is a fiduciary responsibilty to our staff for professional care and privacy while employed by us; our clients, for their data and personal information, and for our firm's reputation. A thoughtful and firm SSM policy that will be respected should be a part of any firm's HR manual.
