Tom,

Very interesting post, and your slides from your presentation are an exceptional roundup, I can only imagine what your presentation was like in person!

I wonder if a poll of the various generations of workers (baby boom, gen X, millenials, as identified in your slides) would come up with a different 'top six' list than the students came up with.

I think the students' list is natually aspirational and honest; I wonder if experienced workers would drop some of those items off their list - either due to a view that some items are not 'practical' or 'realistic' - or by virtue of having become 'jaded' so to speak.

It may be worthwhile to keep the students' top six list in mind as a reference point for the 'rules of engagement' to keep all generations of workers more fully engaged.
